Nicole Vogel

Nicole Vogel is the Founder and President of SagaCity Media Inc., parent­ company of the pre-eminent lifestyle brands in Houston, Seattle, Portland, Sarasota, Aspen, Vail, Park City, and Summit County. Ted Spiker

Ted Spiker, the chair of the department of journalism at the University of Florida, primarily teaches Advanced Magazine Writing and Sports Media & Society. He has also taught Health and Science Writing, Applied Magazines, Magazine Management, Finding Your Voice, Journalism as Literature, Magazine & Feature Writing, and others. He came to the University of Florida in 2001, was awarded tenure in 2007, and promoted to full professor and chair in 2015. Spiker, a former articles editor at Men’s Health, has been published in;; Outside; O, The Oprah Magazine; Fortune; Men’s Health; Men’s Fitness; Women's Health; Runner’s World; AARP The Magazine; Reader's Digest; Parenting; Prevention; and many others. Spiker is author of DOWN SIZE: 12 Truths for Turning Pants-Splitting Frustration into Pants-Splitting Success (Hudson Street Press), a book about the biology and psychology of weight loss and dieting struggles. Vicky Hamer-Hodges

Vicky Hodges has been designing magazines professionally for over 20 years. Graduating with honors from UF with a bachelor degree in magazine journalism and subject concentration in fine art, Vicky started her career designing B to B titles in London, England. During the 90s she worked her way up to designing contract titles and within 6 years became Art Director of the UK's number one women's magazine which was published under contract for the European branch of the Walmart corporation.

She then took her art directing skills down under and worked for several commercial women's magazine titles in Sydney, Australia including Australian Table, Dolly and B magazines. Upon returning to England she became the senior designer for Glamour magazine as well as contributing as a designer on Marie Claire, Elle Girl and Closer magazines.

Vicky returned to the States 10 years ago, where she was creative director of Boca Raton magazine, then started at the Orlando-based Bonnier Corporation as Art Director of Florida Travel & Life magazine in 2006. She is currently Art Director of Destination Weddings & Honeymoons and Caribbean Travel & Life magazines. She loves working in the Travel Group at Bonnier as it is a perfect opportunity for her to match her life-long passion for magazines with her love of travel..

Roberto Gonzalez

Roberto has worked for 32 years as a professional photographer for the publishing industry--many of those as a photojournalist working in small cities through out Georgia and Florida. “I have learned profound lessons while documenting our community, the loves, the lives, the births, and at times even death. The people I admire most are those of us who get knocked down but get back in the game. I love to see people challenge themselves. You can’t create change by sitting on the sideline.’’ Currently he coordinates the photographic design elements for Orlando Magazine, where he is photographer and photo editor.

Roberto is a leader in the industry, winning many international, and regional awards from organizations including the Society for News Design, National Press Photographer’s Association, Society of Professional Journalists Green Eyeshade Award, and from Florida Society of Newspaper Editors.

Jillian Baco

Jillian Baco is currently a senior art director at Tampa Magazine and South Tampa Magazine. She has previously worked at Orlando Magazine as well as in the marketing departments at Golfweek, TransWorld Wakeboarding and Waterski. Jillian has been honored to have her designs recognized with American Graphic Design Awards, International Davey Awards, and FMA Charlie Awards. For two years, Jillian instructed InDesign classes to adults continuing their education, which she found to be a very rewarding experience. Design is more than just art for Jillian—it’s her life. Over the past decade, she has been granted opportunities to work with creative mentors, professionals and friends, which has boosted her ability to both appreciate and produce quality design. Jamie Ezra Mark

With experience overseeing visitor, business, trade, custom, city, regional, and national consumer magazines, Jamie’s publishing credentials are extensive. His work on the Arthritis Foundation’s Arthritis Today helped transform the magazine from a controlled circulation association title into a viable newsstand consumer publication, which led to a 12 percent jump in circulation and 13 design awards. Jamie also redesigned Time Inc.’s Weight Watchers Magazine, which was named one of Advertising Age’s “BEST” Magazines. Jamie has judged multiple national design competitions, and he’s been featured as a speaker for the City Regional Magazine Association (CRMA) and the Florida Magazine Association (FMA), where he’s a member of the board of directors. His creative vision has shaped, strengthened and expanded brands, boosted circulations, and—oh yeah—won more awards and recognitions than he can count.

Lou Ann Sabatier

With wide expertise in strategic planning, business development, market research, branding, communications, digital, management and finance, Lou Ann Sabatier has spent thirty‐five years working with media. She has held senior management positions for an international economics magazine and national political magazines and websites. For over ten years, she also served as a literary agent, packaging and selling non‐fiction works on politics, economics and cultural criticism. In addition, Sabatier has spent 22 years leading her media consulting team in the U.S. and worldwide. Former clients include a list as diverse as World Vision/Save the Children, the NBA, the International Monetary Fund, the OECD, the Federal Reserve Bank, National Geographic, American Marketing Association, the U.S. Marine Corps, and the Chronicle of Higher Education.

Kristen Manieri

Kristen Manieri is the founder and editor of Orlando Date Night Guide, a site she started nearly ten years ago and has grown to over 45,000 monthly users and over 40,000 social media followers. She was recently voted Best Local Blogger in Orlando Magazine’s Best of Orlando Awards. She’s also a travel and lifestyle writer and regular contributor to Playground Magazine, WHERE Orlando and Edible Orlando. Lucas Vandenberg

Lucas Vandenberg is a Managing Partner at Fifty & Five, an Orlando-based global social media marketing agency with regional offices in Los Angeles, Miami, Honolulu, and Toronto. In early 2009, he created, studied and experimented with over 150 different social media accounts to develop marketing strategies that would become the cornerstone of Fifty & Five. Lucas blended his traditional marketing background and social networking expertise to create one of the first marketing agencies specializing in social media. Prior to the creation of Fifty & Five, Lucas spent a decade developing and executing marketing strategies for clients such as Johnson & Johnson, P&G, Beam Global, Skyy Spirits, Kroger, and CVS. Lucas has been a featured speaker for Orlando, Inc., OMMA, Videonomics, USC, UCLA, Loyola Marymount, CIO Logistics Forum, International Customer Service Association, and many others. Lucas enjoys spending his free time with his daughter and son, wine tasting and discovering new Orlando restaurants with his life and business partner, Jenna.
